While pursuing a passion as a career, being in a positive environment is essential.
By this, we mean the following:
Company of people with similar goals
Celebrating with these people about small wins
Staying motivated to move forward
Bakedemy's first 200+ students were in remote locations; what would be the most excellent way to interact with each other? In a social media-dominant world, virtual groups seem sound and dynamic as people are already used to the interface that will allow them to interact quickly and share their progress through comments.
Also, It helped students uplift each other's will due to the ease of communication. This is important because who wouldn't need social interaction, especially when using new techniques?
So, students picked up on sharing their progress, issues and curriculum progress in the support group. Human psychology maps your progress along with your peers, which keeps students motivated to keep moving forward in Bakedemy.
Another benefit of this model, mentors could quickly get back to the students for any recipe issues. Not just that, mentors appreciate and motivate their students. Remember when we were in school and got a gold star for any assignment? Such acknowledgements encouraged the students, and they enjoyed the course experience.
Well, we did something right because we are a family of 500+ students supporting each other. Please take a look at it yourself at https://bakedemy.com/.
Cheers,
Team Bakedemy
