“Beginning is the most important part of the work” - Plato.
Team Bakedemy was concerned about this beginning. If it starts well, it ends well. When we thought of starting, we first sat down to create specific ground rules.
Those rules were as follows:
- Get the top-notch trainers from the industry
- A rock-solid curriculum designed primarily for home bakers
- A fee affordable for all
- And a dependable support system
It may sound simple, but it was a mammoth task at the start. We had spent the initial few days listing down the top trainers in the baking fraternity. Finally, we narrowed it down to 4 senior folks to work with for designing the curriculum.
We were looking at all available courses present online/offline - what is taught and how it became a daily ritual. Surprisingly, the more we vetted the courses, we realised none were designed for a home baker. Almost every academy’s course focuses on Pastry Chefs or pastry technique and not a home baker’s menu. So we had to build a course structure from scratch.
After spending months and uncountable re-iterations, finally, we had the curriculum in our hands. And we took that curriculum to numerous reputed home bakers for their purview. The curriculum got sparkles in their eyes and validated the depth in the course syllabus.
All of them had one question for us, who is going to teach? They all wanted to sign up for it, which left us exploring finding suitable tutors for the modules. We were able to solve the WHAT, and it was time to find the WHO. Now let’s see you tomorrow in our following email with what happens next.
